HTC EVO 3D Unlocked Bootloader Tool Unlocked & Open
HTC is delivering on its promise and allowing owners of some models of HTC smartphones to unlock the bootloader. The process of unlocking is now available for the 3D HTC EVO.

The Sprint HTC EVO 3D unlocking process requires a software update, so please update your phone through the "About phone" in the menu before you begin the process. HTC suggests HTCDev.com developers to check for updates, as well as a detailed explanation of the unlock process.

Bad news: no bloatware. Good news: most can be removed easily. We have to give credit to Sprint to keep pre-installed applications to a minimum, even including the content that really adds value (oh!) By 3D EVO. You will find some applications that you probably want anyway, such as Adobe Reader, Amazon MP3, Office of Polaris, Qik Video and Swype. Others, like NASCAR, Sprint Mobile, Sprint Radio, Sprint TV and movies, Sprint Zone (possibly useful for managing your account), and TeleNav are less attractive. The most interesting is the sale of games and movies that take advantage of the stereo display. 3D games now points to a web site displays the titles of the EVO 4G - assume that EVO will be updated with 3D-specific games before launch. The same goes for Blockbuster, which eventually is supposed to offer 3D movies for download. Spider-Man is a 3D version of the famous game from Gameloft, while The Green Hornet launches HTC 3D clock service to access the film. We're curious to see how much additional 3D content for 3D EVO available once it is in circulation. Developers are joining the party and build 3D-capable applications and web services?
