LG Optimus Sol 'friendly' Mobile Sun

LG Electronics today announced a new member in its line of Optimus, the LG Optimus Sol, with a screen that is designed specifically for the 'face' of sunlight.

Giving the name of 'Sol' refers to the display screen is very clear, where the user will still easily see the phone despite being under the hot sun. Similarly, reported Cellular News, Monday (22/08/2011).

All that thanks to the AMOLED screen Ultra Friday, which has twice the level of reflection than usual AMOLED screen. Use of this screen while reducing image quality degradation.

"Optimus Sol stands out compared to its competitors as Android smartphone which has a 1GHz processor and AMOLED screen, but affordable," said President and CEO of LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company Dr. Jong-seok Park, on Monday (8/22/2011).

"By introducing a phone that has the best screen appearance in this market, it seems we have a phone option for consumers who are looking for a great phone but not too fancy," he added.

Optimus Sol itself carries the operating system Android 2.3 Gingerbread and has a thickness of 9.8 millimeters and the Ultra AMOLED screen size big enough that is 3.8 inches. In addition, this phone is also still showing the other mainstay features like 5 megapixel camera.

The plan, Optimus Sol will be formally introduced in Europe in mid-September, followed by other countries in Latin America and South America. Unfortunately, the LG did not want to divulge the price range for these devices.
